Since I began my travels, I’ve taken a lot of flights and tried many similar search engines, but I’ve found Momondo to be amazing.
Many flights that show up on Momondo don’t appear on other sites search results, so I will keep coming back to Momondo!
SKYSCANNER
Skyscanner is a popular flight search engine, it searches many of the smaller airlines to get the best deal. It’s easy to see why its a traveler’s favorite.
It’s simple to use and search budget flights, and just like Momondo, Skyscanner picks up on budget flights many other sites miss.
Comparing prices is always a good idea, it will help make sure you get the best flight and don’t overpay for it.

Whatever accommodation I’m looking for, Booking.com is my favorite place to search and book a room or bed.Â

12GO
12Go is a travel search engine offering bus, train, flights and ferry routes mainly throughout Asia, as well as New Zealand and Australia.
You can search your route easy and find a whole bunch of options to help you plan and book your travels.
All up, over 17 countries have routes waiting to be booked easy and at great prices.
BOOKAWAY
Bookaway is similar to 12Go, except this company’s range includes routes in Europe and South America.
There are plenty of transport options with a quick search on Bookaway. Bus, train, and ferries can be booked all over the globe.
Along with 12Go to compare some prices and routes, you can book your travels before you leave.
GET THE BEST TRAVEL GEAR
LONELY PLANET GUIDEBOOKS
While the vast majority of travel information is accessible online, there are times when the old-fashioned paper guidebooks are so handy!
Venturing into a rural part as of the world where phone reception is weak and WiFi isn’t a thing? You might want an extensive guide on your location.
You can get a digital copy or an old-school paperback. Lonely Planet Guidebooks are AMAZING.

JOIN TOURS THROUGH EUROPE AND ASIA
BUSABOUT
Busabout is an Australian based company that focuses on budget tours around Europe, Scotland and Ireland. They also offer itineraries throughout Asia.
Not only are they cheaper than most tour companies, but they are also amazingly orchestrated to give a great itinerary where you choose.
The reason I love them so much (other than being so cost-effective) is I think they are a great way to begin travel if you’re super nervous about it all – especially solo!
It won’t take long until you’re meeting new, like-minded travel friends!
